Tango, poetry in mouvement

Tango is not only a dance, it is a form of culture and for certain people it is a way of life. Born from the crossbreeding of Argentine folklore sources and African rhythms, Tango evolved by the influence of successive waves of European immigration. Today, Tango is a musical form of great complexity reminiscent of classical music, jazz and contemporary music. Tango embraces diverse cultural aspects thus touching people of all nations, because everyone finds in it a piece of his/her own culture. For these reasons, UNESCO recognized Tango as part of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity (2009).
